Art and History Tour at Lysebu<\/h2>

Welcome to a very special art and history tour at Lysebu, led by our director Pernille Christensen.<\/em><\/p>

Programme<\/h2>
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Fund for Danish-Norwegian Cooperation, we have, for the first time in Lysebu’s history, brought together two queens in one joint art exhibition in the beautiful Hammerich Room, which has now been renamed the Queen’s Room. \"\ud83d\uddbc\ufe0f\"<\/span><\/div>
<\/div>
H.M. Queen Sonja has generously loaned the watercolour Fjell IV as well as three earthenware dishes. H.M. Queen Margrethe has in turn made four watercolours from the Windows series available \u2013 works specifically selected to harmonise with Lysebu’s unique architecture and a series that marks Lysebu’s significance as a national gift during the Second World War. <\/div>
<\/div>
The exhibition will remain throughout 2026 as part of the anniversary celebration, and we are both proud and grateful to be able to share this unique experience. This artistic meeting between Norwegian mountain formations and Danish window motifs marks 80 years of Danish-Norwegian cooperation and solidarity. The exhibition reflects the two queens’ shared desire to strengthen the cultural bond between our two nations. <\/div>

Experience the art collection featuring works deposited by H.M. Queen Sonja and H.M. Queen Margrethe, together with over 85 works from Henie Onstad Art Centre and Lysebu’s own collection.<\/div>
<\/div>
This somewhat hidden gallery offers powerful art experiences in unique surroundings. We conclude with refreshments, where all participants will receive one of our famous Danish sm\u00f8rrebr\u00f8d and a sweet treat from our own patisserie. <\/div>
We are hosting art and history tours with refreshments on both 11 May and 27 May. <\/div>
