We are not required to have a Data Protection Officer and have not appointed one.

  • Sending newsletters – based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Analyzing usage patterns and improving the website – based on your consent to analytical cookies (Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Delivering, operating, and securing the website – based on our legitimate interest in a functional and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Complying with legal requirements, such as bookkeeping – based on a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have determined that the processing does not override your interests or rights. You may object to such processing at any time.

Analysis and Statistics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used, so that we can improve content and user experience.

Google Analytics is only loaded if you have consented to analytical cookies in our consent tool. Without consent, the analysis tool is not activated.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage analysis and marketing tools on the website.

Google Tag Manager does not store personal data itself, but is used to load other services that may process data if you have provided the necessary consent.

Transfer to Countries Outside the EEA

When you book a stay or a service via the website, it is processed through our booking partner BookVisit.

The information you provide during a booking is used to manage the reservation, fulfill the stay, and honor the agreement with you.

BookVisit acts as a data processor for this information and processes it in accordance with the data processing agreement we have entered into with them.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address to send you information, news, and offers from Lysebu.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by contacting us directly.

Sharing of Personal Data

We never sell your personal data.

We share necessary information with data processors and partners when required to deliver our services, including:

  • Google (analysis)
  • CookieYes (consent management)
  • BookVisit (booking solution)
  • Providers of website operation and hosting

All providers are obligated to process personal data securely and in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. We have entered into data processing agreements with all data processors.

Storage of Personal Data

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose, or as long as we are required to keep it. As a general rule:

  • Booking information: during the contract period and thereafter for as long as bookkeeping regulations require, normally 5 years.
  • Inquiries: up to 12 months after the matter is closed.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytical data: in line with the retention period set in Google Analytics, up to 14 months.

When the information is no longer necessary, it is deleted or anonymized.

Automated Decisions

We do not use personal data for automated decisions or profiling that has legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • request correction of incorrect information
  • request deletion when the conditions are met
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to processing in certain cases
  • receive personal data in a structured and machine-readable format where applicable
  • withdraw consent at any time
