Afternoon Tea
We serve our own interpretation of the British tradition of Afternoon Tea in our charming lounges. Along with exquisite tea from Le Palais Des Thés, we serve per person:
- Top tier: A selection of delicious macarons and petit fours
- Middle tier: Sweet and savory scones with whipped Røros sour cream and homemade jam.
- Bottom tier: Brioche, tart, and Danish rye bread with exquisite toppings.
- The price is NOK 570 per person
Afternoon tea is served on Fridays and Saturdays, at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
On Sundays, we have one seating at 12:00 PM.
Bookings must be made by Thursday at 12:00 PM (noon) the same week. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate food allergies or intolerances. In such cases, please choose from our à la carte menu (not available on Sundays).

A short subway ride from Oslo city center takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and up to the magnificent nature in the heart of Nordmarka. At Voksenkollen, 500 meters above sea level, you will find Lysebu, a gem nestled amidst picturesque surroundings. With buildings from the early 1900s encircling a beautiful courtyard, you step into a significant piece of history, entering what resembles a magnificent Norwegian royal estate.

Lysebu is renowned for its fantastic cuisine, and the Afternoon Tea experience is no exception. Here, you will be served the most exquisite small dishes, a feast for the eyes. The traditional and well-known platter arrives, filled with various dishes, elegantly arranged according to all culinary rules. You can expect small delicacies such as macarons, sandwiches, and scones with whipped Røros sour cream and homemade jam.
Tea is also an essential part of afternoon tea, and at Lysebu, you will enjoy exclusive tea from Le Palais Des Thés. The entire experience is, of course, crowned with a carefully selected champagne – it doesn’t get any better than this.
Lysebu transports you into a world that truly evokes an English ambiance, yet with its own interpretation adapted to the hotel’s long history. Several of the small dishes draw inspiration from Danish cuisine and feature ingredients sourced from our own garden.
