Our well-reputed restaurant is located in the heart of Lysebu. The foundation is Nordic cuisine, and we take great pride in serving dishes made with genuine and natural seasonal ingredients. Therefore, the menus in Lysebu’s restaurant vary according to the seasons, ensuring you the best possible taste experience. Bon appétit!
Opening Hours
Our kitchen is open all year round, except for Christmas and Easter when the hotel is closed.
Summer 2026
The restaurant has different opening hours during the period June 28th – August 16th.
It will be open for breakfast guests from 08:00–10:00 and dinner guests from 18:00–20:00. Waffles will be available for purchase at the hotel from 11:00–16:00.
Lunch
For lunch, we serve Danish open-faced sandwiches.
Monday to Sunday 11:30–14:00 (last seating 13:30)
Monday–Saturday, you can also order open-faced sandwiches for dinner until 20:30.
Dinner
Monday to Saturday
The restaurant is open from 18:00–21:00 (last seating 20:30).
Sunday
The kitchen is closed. We accept orders for the Sunday platter, no A La Carte.
Sunday platter
For guests arriving on Sundays, we invite you to a «shared table», where you can enjoy our delicious cheese and cured meat platter as well as today’s sweet conclusion. Advance booking required.
The Sunday platter can be ordered on Sundays from 18:00–20:30.

Our menus
Each season, our head chef creates a five-course menu based on the best seasonal ingredients available. From this, you can choose whether you want two, three, four, or five courses. To accompany this, Lysebu’s restaurant manager and sommelier create a wine menu as well as a non-alcoholic alternative, specifically selected for each of the dishes.
In the restaurant, you can also choose lighter dishes from our delicious à la carte menu.

Breakfast
At Lysebu, we can tempt you with a bountiful breakfast buffet based on good and natural ingredients. The buffet includes the favorites, in addition to a range of home-produced products, such as honey, jam, and juices.
Breakfast is open:
Monday – Friday from 07:00 to 09:30
Saturday & Sunday at 08:00 to 11:00
If you are not staying with us, but are tempted by our delicious breakfast, you can get it for only NOK 320,-
If you would like breakfast served in your room, we will of course arrange that.
Packed lunch
Going for a hike or need lunch later in the day? You can easily make your own packed lunch from our breakfast buffet. For 150 NOK, you get a lunch box that you can fill with whatever you like. The lunch box is filled from the buffet during the restaurant’s breakfast opening hours. Pay at the reception.

Wine Cellar
The wine cellar, which was once Lysebu’s old well, has today been transformed into an atmospheric room with optimal conditions for storing vintage wines. Here rest several thousand bottles of the highest quality wines, carefully selected and lovingly stored. We invite you to explore our wine list – and experience the wines up close through a wine tasting or an unforgettable dinner in our unique wine cellar

Afternoon Tea
Enjoy the afternoon tranquility at Lysebu with Afternoon tea. Piping hot tea, delicious petit fours, sandwiches, and scones. Our chefs conjure up the good English feeling. Top it all off with a glass of Champagne.

Our food is locally sourced and made from scratch. We collaborate with local producers and prefer organic options where possible. In the restaurant, you can choose between our fixed seasonal menu and lighter dishes from the à la carte menu, where our famous Danish open-faced sandwiches are also tempting.
